Road charges in Slovakia
Yes — vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes need an e-vignette to use Slovak motorways and expressways. It is digital and tied to the licence plate.
Motorcycles are exempt in Slovakia. If you are riding, you need nothing and should not buy anything — here or anywhere else.
Slovakia introduced a 1-day vignette for 2026, so short transits no longer require the 10-day product.
Prices start at €8.10 for a 1 day car vignette (official eZnamka price, verified 2026-08-19).
What we do not cover
Vehicles over 3.5 t use Slovakia's separate electronic toll system rather than a vignette. Motorcycles need no vignette at all.
