The Swiss motorway vignette

Yes — you need a vignette to use Swiss motorways, and Switzerland sells exactly one: an annual e-vignette. There is no daily, weekly or monthly option, so a single day on a Swiss motorway costs the same as a full year.

It is now electronic and linked to your licence plate. Motorcycles pay the same price as cars, and the vignette also applies to trailers.

Switzerland prices in Swiss francs. We show the official franc price alongside the euro amount we charge.

Prices start at €43.48 for a annual car vignette (officially CHF 40.00). The full price list is below, and on our Swiss vignette price page.
